Community Involvement

We Care. On More Levels Than One.

Over the years Honest Accurate Auto Service has had the honor and privilege to participate with various organizations and give back to the community of Colorado Springs. Most recently, this past year we’ve given back through different events and look forward to continuing our efforts to help make a difference.

As a business we have actively participated with many other business owners through the Business Network International Organization. Randy Schillinger, and now Jesse Schillinger, has served in various capacities and has been a member of the Great Expectations Chapter for nearly 20 years.

We are excited to be a part of the Wheels to Prosper organization. This is a nationwide organization that gathers auto shops from all over to help provide someone deserving with a safe, serviceable and used vehicle. This past year, on the last Saturday of July, over 30 auto shops gave a way a vehicle to a deserving person in the community. We were honored and privileged to give away 2 vehicles to 2 people in Colorado Springs! We had an amazing time and couldn’t have done it without the assistance of the many people who helped make it possible!

This past year was also the first time our shops hosted a Blood Drive, partnering with the Penrose ~St. Francis Hospital Blood Bank. We had 22 donations, saving over 60 lives!

We are happy to offer the community, our Women’s Automotive Class. Hosted twice a year, we gather at both locations offering a FREE two hour class to help educate you about the ins and outs of your vehicle. Attendants get informed and learn tips on how to care for your own vehicle. You learn how to check fluids, brakes, and how to change a tire on your own car.

We have enjoyed working with America’s Family and  Mr. Biggs in the annual, “Best Christmas Ever”, where we did our part collecting as many bicycles as we could through our own personal efforts, and the generous donations of our customers. However, since they are no longer in operation, we are pleased to support Bob Telmosse’s Christmas Giveaway to help those less fortunate to have an enjoyable Christmas.

We support each of our church homes through active participation in serving, giving, attendance and prayer.  We support our local schools, newspaper, Rampart Range Rotary Club, Wasson High School Auto Shop, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and many other small organizations through cash donations and/or “silent auction” items.

We honor our Military communities by offering a 10% discount off parts up to $50, and by wearing our red shirts on Fridays – thank you for all you do!
