Presidential SealCustomer Service Week is October 2-6, this year. At Honest Accurate Auto Service, we believe that customer service is an on-going, daily process we do as part of building a relationship with each and every customer that comes through our doors. Customer Service Week is an actual internationally observed week!

Customer Service Week was established in 1984 by the International Customer Service Association and is celebrate annually during the first full week of October. The United States began recognizing Customer Service Week in the late 1980’s but it became official on

October 8, 1992 when President George H. Bush gave his stamp of approval and signed a Presidential Proclamation (NO. 6485) proclaiming the first week of October as National Customer Service Week for the United States. This proclamation states:

 

A business will do a better job of providing high-quality goods and services by listening to its employees and by empowering them with opportunities to make a difference.

 

We thought Customer Service Week would be an excellent time to feature our customer service professionals, and their positions. Traditionally in the auto repair industry, most repair shops customer service is handled primarily by the Service Advisors. At Honest Accurate Auto Service we have a few positions that deal directly with the customers, our Service Advisors, our shuttle drivers, and our Quality Control Managers.

 

Our expert Service Advisors are responsible for checking your vehicle into the shop and collecting all the important information we need for the ASE Certified Technicians to work on your vehicle. They also communicate with our customers any information about their vehicle while we have their vehicle.

 

The Service Advisors also find all the parts for that are needed for the Technicians to do their job. Our Service Advisors are master communicators to our customers and for our customers to the technicians. They also greet everyone who comes into the shop. Our Service Advisors also handle all the vehicle records in our system of all the customer vehicles we care for. We rely on them for accurate, detailed information and communication. They are detail oriented and experts on various makes and models of cars, trucks, and SUVs.

 

Meet our expert Service Advisors at our Honest Accurate Auto Service East location that provide excellent customer service:

Shanda Bonestroo
Shanda Bonestroo, ASE Certified Service Advisor

Shanda Bonestroo, ASE Certified Service Advisor. Shanda has been a Service Advisor for 8 years. Shanda has been a customer service specialist for 20 years. Shanda is a single mom of 2 daughters, ages 9 and 13. She was born and raised in South Dakota and has been in Colorado Springs for 9 years. Shanda enjoys spending time with her family. Her sister and nephew are also in Colorado Springs. She loves dogs but doesn’t currently have one. For now, she shares time with her nephew’s bearded dragon named Apollo! Shanda also loves to decorate; music of all types; loves to dance, garden, and being outside. Shanda has 2 dream cars she hopes to acquire someday: a 1967 Chevy Impala and a Lexus IS250!

Ted Slosky, ASE Certified Technician. Ted has over 17 years’ experience as a Service Advisor and has been with Honest Accurate Auto Service for nearly years! Ted Slosky is 3rd generation native of Colorado. Ted enjoys spending time with his wife Susan. Ted and Susan have been married for 29 years. They have 2 grown daughters and a cat named Jac. Ted loves going to musicals with his family. He is a member of the University of Oklahoma’s Alumni Association which has a chapter in Colorado. Ted’s dream car is a 1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible!

Another one of our expert Service Advisors is Heath Gibson.

Heath is also an ASE Certified Service Advisor with more than 25 years’ experience. Heath has been married over 27 years to his wife Cheryl. They have 9 children from age 1 to 20+, some with special needs. They truly are a special family! Heath spends his time off duty with his family in Peyton, Colorado. He is currently landscaping their home that actually has room for all the kids and their chickens. We hear there are plans for other animals to come too!

Meet Albie Salazar one of our amazing Service Advisors. Albie is married to Zach and has 6 children ranging in age from 5 to 21. They have 3 boys and 3 girls. When she is not working, Albie spends a lot of time at the ball park with her kids. They just bought a new house and she spends time decorating their new home. Albie’s dream car is a Toyota Tacoma truck.

Randy Keiser is another one of our awesome Service Advisors, providing great customer service daily. Randy has been with his wife Shelvy for 22 years and married for 16 of those. He has 2 dogs named Biva and Zorr. He spends time off work going to the dog park and loves sports. His favorite NFL football team is the Denver Broncos (of course!). Randy’s favorite movies are the Star Wars series. Randy’s dream car is a fancy RV so he and his family can travel the country and get in some fishing!

Amie Harmon is our Service Advisor Assistant. Amie helps keep us all on track. Amie not only handles the front counter and phone calls, she is great at making sure our customers get thank you cards in a timely manner. Amie has been in the customer service industry for many years as a florist and also as a manager for a national bagel company before we added her to our Honest Team.

Amie has been married to Mike for 25 years and has 2 grown kids ages 23 and 24. She enjoys the outdoors with camping, fishing and she likes the beach. Her and Mike have 3 dogs: Rayne, Noah, and Petey. She is very crafty and enjoys making crafts from items that can be recycled and re-purposed. Amie’s dream car is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in a metallic black!

Customer Service Week 2017 gives us a great opportunity to share with everyone some of our customer service specialist at Honest Accurate Auto Service. We are fortunate to have these people focused in our company!
